For careers advisors, teachers and lecturers

Did you know that horseracing is the second largest spectator sport in the UK? With 60 racecourses and over 14,000 racehorses, there are opportunities to work both in an exciting commercial sporting venue setting – and outdoors working with animals – there really are opportunities for everyone!

The team at careersinracing can help you with all the information you need to provide careers information to your students.  The website had a fantastic video wall full of great content about careers and available training, and showcased some of the skills required to work with horses in our fun ‘how to’ guides.

We have three colleges available to school leavers for training and qualifications:  The Northern Racing College in Doncaster, The British Racing School in Newmarket and The National Stud in Newmarket.  Take a look at our website to find about the qualifications and training available including our Racehorse Care Apprenticeships. Right now we are particularly looking for more people to work with horses. So if you have students thinking about working with animals or looking for an apprenticeship after GCSE’s or A Levels take a look at our dedicated apprenticeship page and sign up to our careers newsletter.  All the training providers offer fantastic taster days so take a look now. Their courses start all year round – not just at the start of the academic year.

Sign up for our newsletter and get in touch! We can provide your school or college with careers information, attend your careers fair or even arrange an education trip for your students.
