Elaine MeadLondon

I have worked within Employability and Careers Guidance for the last 4 years – starting within welfare to work, supporting NEETS (Not in Employment, Education or Training) and progressing into supporting businesses and colleges with growing their Apprenticeship and Traineeship provision across London, working for Kaplan Financial and Capita Careers Advisory Service. My current role is with Reed NCFE, providing full support within FE to students looking to take their first steps from education into employment – Providing a full range of employment advice, CV and Interview support, careers 1-2-1’s and supporting students on work experience placements, as well as building the college’s reputation with local employers. An avid fan of Twitter to share insights and updates of the industry, as well as engage and learn from other professionals to continue making the sector the best it can be! I regularly write articles for Learnist.org on a variety of employment and education topics, and am really looking forward to supporting NCW 2016 to make it a success and raise aspirations within Youth Employability.
