Emma GarrickNortheast

A former teacher, careers adviser and mentor, I have worked with children and young people at different ages and stages and supported the raising and exploration of future aspirations. I also have significant experience of marketing to children, young people and key influencers as well as a strong network of contacts across the education and business sectors, in the North East. I left recently Northumbria University, where I was a career and employers specialist for a STEM engagement project, Think Physics; supporting children and young people to foster a love of STEM and as importantly, where STEM can take you and the future impacts you could make. Most recently I have launched a consultancy which provides a range of services and support to education, employers and organisations; mainly around skills strategy, research, developing meaningful engagements and creative services. I absolutely love what I do! NCW provides a fantastic opportunity to collaborate, share and promote regionally and nationally the importance of career guidance and best practice. I am want to inspire, support and encourage uptake here in the Northeast.
