As Head of Careers and Employability at a multi academy trust, I work with young people, parents, HE and FE providers, employers, careers advisors and teachers. I have spent six years working in school, but have previously worked in academia, industry, the voluntary sector, and in the civil service. This wide range of experience has given me a keen sense of what young people need to be able to navigate the world of work.

I believe that a well planned careers program can help young people to aim high and to find ways to realise their goals. The resources, inspiration and support that National Careers Week offers is invaluable to anyone who, like myself, is looking to make careers education a cornerstone of provision in school. I am happy to share what works, and hopefully enthuse anyone who is thinking about getting involved in NCW 2019.
