Chris has over 15 years pastoral leadership experience and has worked with a number of schools and sixth form colleges. His current role at Rochdale Sixth Form College, as a Student Performance & Development Leader, with responsibility for Employability and Career Placements, has allowed him to work closely with local schools, universities and employers to support young people in exploring their career options. In this role, he leads on student achievement and wellbeing, and works to develop career and employability skills across all curriculum areas. He believes teachers, schools and employers have a duty to work together to guide and educate young people on careers to motivate and inspire learning.
Chris is also the founder of Brightways Coaching. Here, he works with young people and teachers at all levels to support personal development and success. Much of this work develops personal leadership behaviours, character and employability skills through value driven coaching and workshops. His unwavering belief that we are all capable of success, along with his positive approach to working with others, allows him to support and motivate others towards future focused goals.
Chris is a keen runner and co-founder of North Bolton Runners, he believes collaboration and community driven endeavours can bring about real change both locally and nationally.
