Careersinracing is the promotional campaign on behalf of British Horseracing to showcase the career opportunities available across this diverse sporting and leisure industry. The campaign is run by the British Horseracing Authority who are the governing body for the sport of horseracing in Britain.

The website is a source of information and advice on many available career paths and also showcases training and qualifications available at the three dedicated horse racing training colleges. The popular live job board sees over 1000 jobs a year promoted through the site and social media. Roles range from entry level to suit school leavers, through to graduate and commercial roles at racecourses.

Did you know that horseracing is the second largest spectator sport in the UK? With 59 racecourses and over 14,000 racehorses, there are opportunities to work both in an exciting commercial sporting venue setting – and outdoors working with animals – there really is something for everyone!

A brand new careers case studies section to read up on what life is like working in the industry. Plus a course calendar to see the upcoming course dates. Our YouTube channel also showcases some of the skills required to work with horses in our fun ‘how to’ guides.

We have various colleges available to school leavers for training and qualifications:  The National Horseracing College in Doncaster, The British Racing School in Newmarket and Haddon Training in Wiltshire. We also run various development programmes through the year you can explore them here on our courses and training page.
